Today, the Czech government announced the introduction of strict quarantine restrictions to contain the spread of the coronavirus infection. They will be valid in the country until November 3.
It is reported by Novinky.
Thus, retail and service stores in the Czech Republic will be closed from tomorrow. Only grocery stores, pharmacies and other establishments will remain in the shopping centers, which the government will indicate in its decree. The wholesale stores will also remain open.
The government also recommends that employers organize work from home and limit direct contact with clients. In addition, the free movement of people will be limited, with the exception of trips to work, shopping, to the doctor or to help loved ones.
Prime Minister Andrei Babish said that if the government does not take these measures, the health system will collapse around November 7-11.
“We decided to take action, so I apologize to everyone. Unfortunately, we are in a situation where there is a sharp increase and the measures we have taken in recent weeks are not working,” he added.
We will remember, in the Czech Republic the obligation to wear masks in public places on the street returned.
In addition, on October 12, new restrictions came into force in the country due to the increase in the incidence of the coronavirus.
Also in early September, the Czech Republic divided the quarantine zones into four regions due to the epidemiological situation.
