At midnight on Tuesday, November 3, Austria will return to a strict quarantine. This will be the second lockdown in a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

As of Tuesday, a curfew will be introduced in the country, which will operate until November 30. Austrians will be prohibited from leaving home between 20:00 and 6:00 to meet or visit other people. At the same time, you will be allowed to go to work, walk or help other people.
According to Austrian media reports, the country will also be banned from visiting restaurants and cafes. Caterers will only serve takeout food or drinks. Hotels can only accept commercial clients. Zoos, theaters and museums will also be closed.
Schools in Austria will continue to operate, but the Austrian authorities will check whether they are affecting the spread of the coronavirus.
As Kurz explains, these measures are necessary to avoid overloading the healthcare system.
“We are aware that these measures are unpopular and mean massive restrictions on freedom. But they are necessary to facilitate our treatment,” he stressed.
We will remember, on the eve of the decision to strengthen the quarantine was supported in Belgium. The government banned the stores and recommended moving to remote work.
As RBC-Ukraine wrote, the WHO called the introduction of a nationwide quarantine an extreme measure to prepare the health care system.
