The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is preparing for all scenarios of response to the situation with the coronavirus in the country. In particular, the government is preparing for quarantine for the New Year holidays.
This was announced at a government meeting by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denis Shmyhal.
He noted that in early December the effectiveness of the weekend quarantine will be evaluated.
“We are preparing for all possible scenarios, including the introduction of the quarantine for the winter holidays. Now the whole country is in the” orange “zone, a weekend quarantine is in effect and this is a balanced alternative to strict quarantine measures and restrictions, “he said.
Note that Ukraine’s Minister of Culture Alexander Tkachenko proposed yesterday to introduce a two-week lockdown on the country during the New Year holidays.
Recall that the Ministry of Health of Ukraine supports the introduction of stricter restrictions in Ukraine.
In a comment to RBC-Ukraine, the expert said that the peak of the coronavirus in Ukraine could be in January-February. Within a week or two, there will be a powerful epidemic wave. In Ukraine during the last day, 13,882 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed.
