The resolution of the military conflict in Donbass is inevitable, but today it is not clear when it will happen. At the same time, the Russian Federation will continue to increase its support for certain areas in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine.

This was announced at the final press conference by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to him, after the Normandy summit in Paris, a ceasefire and an exchange of prisoners were achieved. But so far nothing has been unlocked in the social and economic spheres, as well as in the framework of a political settlement.

“In my opinion, a deal is inevitable. The only question is when? It depends largely on the current Ukrainian authorities. Well, we Russia both support Donbass, we will continue to support it. We will even increase our support for Donbass. This will be it refers to the maintenance of production, solving social and infrastructure problems. We will move in this direction, “Putin added.

We will remember, earlier in the Kremlin, he said that Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel want to intensify the work of the advisers of the Normandy Four on a peaceful settlement in the Donbass.

It should be noted that militants in the Donbass continue to block the exchange of prisoners, demanding that the Ukrainian side procedurally clear the nine transferred to ORDLO as part of the previous exchange. In Ukraine, they say that this is impossible without their presence.
