Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the end of non-working days in the country starting May 12. He said this on Monday during an appeal to the Russians before the start of a meeting on the health and epidemiological situation in the Russian Federation.
“Tomorrow, from May 12, the single period of inactivity for the whole country and for all sectors of the economy ends. But the fight against the epidemic does not end. Its danger persists, even in the territories where the situation is relatively favorable, “Putin said.
According to him, the measures adopted allow us to gradually reduce the restrictions. The final decision rests with the regions of the Russian Federation.
Putin urged not to remove tracing paper restrictions and to do it simultaneously. He explained that the emergence of the coronavirus epidemic will not be rapid, all sanitary requirements must be maintained. All public events are still prohibited.
Self-isolation mode is maintained for people over 65 and people with chronic illnesses.
Putin also stressed that starting May 12, it is necessary to create conditions for the resumption of the work of companies in the basic sectors of the economy.
Recall that the spread of the coronavirus in Russia is breaking records. In the last day alone, more than 11,000 Russians were infected, more than 2,000 have already died. As for the number of infected, Russia ranked third in the world, more than 221 thousand.
