The arrests of people began in Belarus Gomel. They tried to protest against the inauguration of the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.

This was reported by Radio Liberty.

The protesters’ assembly point was reportedly the train station, but as of 6:00 p.m. police, special forces and military trucks with rice wagons gathered there. Later, the organizers of the rallies moved the meeting to the central market. Some people went there and were arrested.

The arrest of some 40 people by special forces near department stores is also known.

It should be noted that today a new wave of protests began in Belarus. There are arrests throughout the country.

Let us remind you that on the night of September 23, near the stele “Minsk – Hero City”, the harsh arrests of protesters began. Videos were posted online showing the use of water cannons against protesters.

During the harsh dispersal of the protest against Alexander Lukashenko, more than 10 protesters were arrested.

RBC-Ukraine also wrote that the Belarusian police switched to an improved service regime through planned protests in the country.
