How the Belarusian security forces acted
Belarusian security forces were preparing for the morning’s protest action. A few hours before the march, military equipment was transferred to the center of Minsk.
Lukashenka’s residence was traditionally guarded by armored personnel carriers. However, for the first time since the start of the protests in Belarus, all-terrain vehicles with heavy machine guns on the roofs were also brought under the “palace”.
Shortly after the start of the march, the security forces opened fire. They allegedly shot into the air. However, it is known that 1 of the protesters was injured. He was hit by a rubber bullet.
