The former president is suspected of taking possession of the complex of buildings and structures of the Mezhyhirya state residence

The SAP recalled that in June a petition was sent to the court to arrest the former president.

The anti-corruption prosecutor’s office will appeal against the decision of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court, which refused to choose a restraint measure for former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych. This was announced on Monday, October 26 by SAP.

“The prosecutor does not agree with this court decision and will appeal it on appeal,” SAP said in a statement.

As reported, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court on Monday, October 26, refused to arrest Yanukovych as part of the case about the seizure of a complex of buildings and structures of the Mezhyhirya state residence.

The refusal was due to violations of the conditions of the preliminary investigation. In addition, at the time of filing the request for the selection of a precautionary measure, the investigating authorities did not resume the investigation in this criminal proceeding, as required by law.
