Privatbank rejects payments to the “Key to Account” card, which allows the company to make any payment: pay for purchases abroad and on the Internet, and also replaces tired check books with its high cash withdrawal rates .
It is reported in the UBR edition. This is because the card has a limit of 30 thousand per month to accept payments. The restrictions were introduced based on financial tracking requirements.
“According to the requirements of the NBU for payments in favor of a commercial entity, it is mandatory to indicate in the purpose of the payment what the payment is for, from whom, on the basis of what, with or without the NBU”, explained Oleg Serga, press secretary of Privatbank.
At the same time, the state bank emphasizes that the restriction applies exclusively to transfers to corporate cards and does not affect transfers to private cards in any way. Experts agree with Privatbank’s logic: for business-related cards, speed of payments is important.
“The bank is right in this case. Although it is a card to withdraw cash, it is still a business. It must be subject to the same requirements to specify the purpose of payment as for a business. There you can only receive income. But it can be used to calculate, withdraw cash “, – said the tax advisor of the Kiev Business Development Support Center Oleksandra Tomashevskaya.
As OBOZREVATEL previously wrote, in Ukraine, bank clients are considered “politically exposed persons” even if they held government positions several decades ago.
