Additional funds will be used to increase staff salaries
The costs of serving the activities of the President and the Office of the President in the proposed state budget for 2021 were increased to avoid disparities in the salaries of officials. This is not a political story.
Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko told reporters about this after the presentation of the draft budget in the Rada, reports the RBC-Ukraine correspondent.
“We, as the Ministry of Finance, when calculating the budget, we see a disparity in salaries in different ministries: the Office of the President, the apparatus of the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet Secretariat. I saw the imbalance, “he said.
According to him, this is not a political story, but a decision of the Ministry of Finance in relation to 500 employees of the Presidency.
“And the fact that some kind of ‘zrada’ is spreading has absolutely no basis,” Marchenko said.
Recall that in the draft state budget for 2021, the expenditures of the general fund of the state budget for the service of the activities of the President and the Office of the President in 2021 are projected at the level of 1,266,795.2 thousand hryvnias. This is 39.4% more than this year (909,058.7 thousand hryvnia).
In addition, the expenses of the general fund of the state budget for the Office of the Verkhovna Rada in 2021 will amount to 2,282,685.8 thousand hryvnia. This is 12.0% more than this year (2,038,424.8 thousand hryvnia).
According to the project, the expenses of the Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers will amount to 1,092,341.3 thousand hryvnia. This is 13.9% more than in the current year (959,075.0 thousand hryvnia).
