Presidential elections in Moldova: Sandu wins, 87% of votes counted

In the presidential elections in Moldova, according to preliminary data, the candidate Maia Sandu is in the lead. The Central Electoral Commission has already counted 87% of the votes.

This is stated in the message on the CEC Moldova website.

According to the CEC of Moldova, Sandu gets 51.43% of the votes, Dodon, 48.57%.

Note that Sandu is ahead of Dodon as in the first round. At the same time, in Transnistria, it is gaining 15%. This is 1% more than in the first round, or 1,500 votes.

Dodon is also reported to win at Singerei. At the same time, the counting of votes from the diaspora has already begun, where Sandu is expected to lead.

After processing 90% of the ballots, Sandu won 51.46% of the votes, Igor Dodon 48.54%.

As a reminder, it was previously reported that exit polls give Maya Sandu the win. Data from two polls showed their lead of nearly 10%.
