Former defender of the Dynamo and the Ukrainian national team Vladislav Vashchuk gave a forecast for the group stage match of the Champions League “Dynamo” – “Ferencvaros”.
“From a psychology point of view, it’s hard to say who will find it more difficult. A ticket to the Europa League will put equal pressure on both opponents. It is difficult to say now who will best deal with this aspect.
I don’t think the Dynamo have gotten in shape in the last few games. If they say that the Dynamo looked good in Turin, then the word “not bad” is not appropriate for a team that is playing for the result. I would avoid such rhetoric. The teams in this match have an equal chance of success.
What mistakes should Dynamo avoid? First of all, we need to stabilize the defensive game, it leaves a lot to be desired. In their own penalty area, the players are somehow lost. Or inattention or lack of relationship between them, but you can see some kind of neurosis in your own penalty area. It seems that players may have problems on their own. In the penalty area, you must play hard with the opponent and not give him a chance to hit the goal. In the first meeting, Ferencvaros was shot on target. And in the Ukrainian championship, I saw that there were a lot of individual matches lost in the penalty area.
I think that ahead of Lucescu, preference will be given to Supryaga over Verbic. But everything will depend on the chosen tactics.
The fact that Garmash started scoring is great for the team. And when there are leaders who can take on that responsibility, it’s doubly nice, ”Vashchuk said.
The group stage match of the Champions League “Dynamo” – “Ferencvaros” will take place in Kiev at the NSC “Olimpiyskiy” on Tuesday 8 December at 22:00 Kiev time.
Throughout his playing career, Vashchuk played for Dynamo Kiev, CSKA Armed Forces of Ukraine, Spartak Moscow, Chornomorets Odessa, Lviv and Volyn. Vashchuk has 63 matches and one goal scored for the Ukraine national team.
