Ukraine introduced new quarantine restrictions
On December 19, Ukraine introduced a new list of restrictions related to the COVID-19 epidemic. In particular, it is prohibited holding massive events in educational institutions, the catering establishments work from 23:00 to 7:00, reception of visitors in museums, exhibitions, galleries, etc., if there is more than one person in the rooms for every 10 m².
The names of the probable Navalny poisoners have been announced
Journalists from The Insider, Bellingcat, CNN and Der Spiegel published an investigation in which they named eight Russian FSB officers involved in the poisoning of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
Furthermore, journalists believe that the poisoning of the politician was the second attempt to kill him; during the first, his wife Yulia suffered.
Navalny himself called the assassination attempt a terrorist act organized by the FSB on the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
YouTube and Google services crash massively
Row Google services such as YouTube, Gmail, Classroom, Google Drive, as well as documents, maps, appointments and calendar have stopped working worldwide. The biggest problems in accessing these services are in London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, New York and Washington.
“Diya” began accepting applications from Ukrainians to receive 8 thousand UAH from the state
The Diya portal has started accepting applications for one-time financial aid in the amount of 8,000 UAH for entrepreneurs and individual employees.
During the first 10 hours of operation, more than 5,000 people used the service, and on the night of December 14, more than 33,000 Ukrainians.
20 million Ukrainians will receive free vaccination against COVID-19
Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said that in Ukraine, people at risk should get vaccinated against the coronavirus for free. Among them are medical workers, educators, the National Police, social services, as well as people over 60 years of age. There are more than 20 million such people in Ukraine.
Ukraine will attract a $ 170 million loan from the World Bank at the end of December.
An agreement was signed between Ukraine and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development on a second additional financing aimed at overcoming the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic. The signing of the document will allow Ukraine to receive a loan of $ 300 million from the World Bank, of which $ 170 million, by the end of the year.
