President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law postponing the introduction of cash registers for sole proprietorships for a year. This decision will allow the company to hide its income and generate a loss of billions to the budget.
This is Document No. 1017-IX, which the Verkhovna Rada adopted on December 1, according to the website of the Office of the President. According to him, the maintenance of PPOs (settlement transaction recorders – cash registers and programs) is postponed until January 2022.
In addition, the document cancels the fines for entrepreneurs if they have more money in the box than that presented at the tax office.
Note that the introduction of accounting was one of the conditions of the International Monetary Fund.
In addition, the delay will overshadow hundreds of thousands of sole proprietorships who exceed billing limits, but hide their earnings from paying taxes in full.
It will also negatively affect the state budget – it will receive at least 2.5 billion UAH less.
We will recall, the deputy head of the State Tax Service Yevgeny Oleinikov, explained that the introduction of the cash register does not change the tax burden, but does not allow to hide the operation. He added that, at the same time, some of the sole proprietors do not even hide the fact that before the checks they “lose” or rewrite the cash books to hide their true losses and remain in a single tax.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, the Verkhovna Rada adopted this law on December 1. It was supported by 319 popular deputies.
