Poltava mayor election: there are conflicting data | Politics

Different sources named different winners in the second round of the Poltava elections according to preliminary data.

According to the results of the poll conducted by the Poltava region, the candidate of the Servant of the People wins Sergey Ivaschenko. Candidate for “For the Future” Alexander mamay ranks second. 41.6% of the voters voted for Ivaschenko, 32.1% for Mamai.

At the same time, the Mamai headquarters provided the results of its own vote counting from 100% of the polling stations. According to him, it is Mamai who wins in Poltava: he received the support of 54% of the votes. His competitor Ivaschenko has 46%. The gap is about 3,300 votes.

As you know, in the first round of the Poltava mayoral elections, which took place on October 25, Mamai won, receiving the support of 30.6% of the voters. However, the result was not enough for the final victory. Ivaschenko in the first round received the support of 17.71% of the voters.

Let us remember that on Sunday, November 22, the second round of local elections – 2020 will be held in Ukraine. The second round of voting is scheduled in 11 cities. In particular, the residents of Lvov, Berdyansk, Dnipro, Drohobych, Poltava, Nikolaev, Slavyanskaya, Nikopol, Rovno, Uzhgorod and Cherkassy choose one of the two candidates who could not get an unconditional victory in the first round. As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, on November 15 the voting in the mayoral elections was repeated in Lutsk, Kramatorsk (Donetsk region), Ukrainka (Kiev region), Odessa, Sumy, Kherson and Kamenets-Podolsk (Khmelnitsky region).
