Warsaw provides support to Belarusian citizens in the context of mass arrests and detentions in the republic.

Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau said the current Belarus government, headed by Alexander Lukashenko, has lost its legitimacy. This was announced on Sunday September 13 by Polish radio with reference to the minister.

“We cannot consider President Alexander Lukashenko to have legitimacy in a democratic society. This is a completely different issue,” Rau stressed.

In this sense, Warsaw, according to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, directed its policy towards Belarusian society.

As reported, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic will offer a package of support to Belarusians at the EU summit. We are talking about energy security, cooperation in the information and infrastructure sectors.
