Poland has changed the entry rules for Ukrainians

The Polish authorities changed the rules and regime for entry into the country and also provided a list of categories of citizens who are exempt from quarantine.

Poland since Monday, December 28, has changed the regime and the rules for the entry of Ukrainian citizens into its territory, writes UNN in reference to the press service of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland.

Therefore, Ukrainians have the right to enter the territory of the Republic of Poland, which:

• are spouses or children of citizens of the Republic of Poland, or are under the permanent guardianship of citizens of the Republic of Poland;
• have a Pole’s Card;
• have the right to permanent or temporary residence in the territory of the Republic of Poland;
• have the right to perform work on the territory of the Republic of Poland under the same conditions as Polish citizens, have a work permit or confirmation of intention to perform seasonal work, confirmation of an order to perform work to a foreigner on the territory of the Republic of Poland, who performs work on the territory of the Republic of Poland or provides documents from which it appears that the work will start immediately after crossing the border;
• have been trained in Poland (pupils, students, fellows, postgraduates, doctoral students) or are people who accompany students;
• are scientists conducting research in Poland;
• family members (spouses, children) of a citizen of the European Union, European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) – Parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area or Switzerland;
• have a permanent residence permit or a long-term residence card from a member state of the European Union, the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) – Parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, or Switzerland, or their relatives ( spouses, children) who enter Poland for the purpose of transit through its territory;
• are drivers of vehicles in the field of international passenger, cargo or combined transport and enter the territory of Poland as part of their official duties;
• are sailors, fishermen, workers on offshore drilling or production platforms who enter Poland for the purpose of transit through its territory to the place where they carry out their official duties;
• are employees of diplomatic and consular institutions, representatives of international organizations and members of their families, as well as other people who cross the border with diplomatic passports;
• are passengers of aircraft flying an international flight from an airport located on the territory of a state that is not subject to the air traffic ban and belong to at least one of the above categories of Ukrainian citizens, or have a residence permit in Georgia, Japan, Canada, New Zealand, Thailand, Republic of Korea, Tunisia, Australia;
• enter Poland with a national visa for repatriation or as family members (spouses, children) of a returnee;
• enter Poland to participate in sporting events (athletes, coaches, doctors, physiotherapists, referees, accredited journalists) with the supporting documents from the organizer of the competition;
• enter Poland with a visa issued in order to work for humanitarian reasons of interest to Poland or that are its international obligations;
• are entering Poland on a visa issued to participate in the Poland program. Commercial port;
• are foreign businessmen and representatives of foreign business entities entering Poland for commercial purposes, who, in response to a note from the diplomatic office of the respective country, have received consent to entry from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland .

The following categories of citizens are also exempt from the obligation to remain in quarantine after entering the territory of Poland:

• people who have a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19;
• drivers and crew members of air, rail, maritime and motor vehicles, whose professional activity is related to the field of international passenger, cargo or combined transport and who enter the territory of Poland as part of their official duties;
• maritime administration inspectors who enter the territory of Poland as part of their official duties;
• Passengers of ships that sail, instead of entering ports of third countries, between the ports of the Member States of the European Union, the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) – Parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area;
• people studying in Poland (pupils + companion, students, fellows, postgraduate students, doctoral students), as well as scientists conducting research in Poland (subject to documentary confirmation of the fact of scientific training / activity);
• Individuals who pass the eighth grade exam in January 2021, which is conducted in adult schools, where education ends in the fall semester;
• employees of diplomatic and consular institutions, representatives of international organizations and members of their families, as well as other people who cross the border with diplomatic passports;
• people who work in agricultural companies located in the border areas of both countries;
• Persons holding a permanent residence permit or long-term resident card from a member state of the European Union, the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) – Parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area or the Swiss Confederation, as well as your relatives (spouses, children) who enter Poland in order to transit through its territory;
• Athletes, coaches, doctors, physiotherapists, referees, accredited journalists who enter Poland to participate in sporting events and who have supporting documents from the competition organizer;
• medical workers who enter the territory of Poland for the purpose of working in the health sector.
• persons crossing the state border of Poland, which is the internal border of the EU, in the framework of or for the purpose of carrying out official functions.
