A fire broke out on the territory of a military training ground in the village of Devichki, near Kiev, on Thursday afternoon. 120 military personnel participated in the extinction and the residents of the military camp are asked to remain calm and stay at home. This was reported on the page of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the social network.
“On September 17, a fire broke out on the territory of the military training camp in Devichki. The forest began to burn around 2:00 pm. Firefighters from military unit A2399 immediately went to the scene of the fire,” it says the message.
It is clarified that now the soldiers of the military unit A2399, the State Emergency Service, the National Guard and the foresters are involved in the extinction.
“In total, 120 military personnel and three units of firefighting equipment participated in the liquidation of the spread of the fire in the territory of the test site,” the statement said.
Earlier, “Strana” wrote that the house was burned for journalist Dmitry Vasilets, his mother miraculously escaped the fire.
