The signatories demand to cancel the weekend quarantine and describe its disastrous consequences.

A petition on the president’s website to abolish the weekend quarantine in just four days garnered 25,000 votes, necessary for the head of state to consider.

The author of the petition was Ekaterina Egorova. In the text of the petition, they cited excerpts from the legislation, which speaks of the rights of citizens to business activity, work, social protection, the necessary standard of living and compensation from the State for losses caused by illegal decisions.

He claims that the imposition of a weekend quarantine will have disastrous consequences for the economy, as well as losses and closures of establishments, resulting in tens of thousands of people losing their jobs.

The petitioner’s author and signatories are demanding that the weekend quarantine be canceled and, in the future, consult with the public and business representatives when making such decisions.

At the time of publication of the material, 25,893 people voted in favor of the petition.

We will remember, as of November 14, that a weekend quarantine is introduced in Ukraine. At this time, the work of entertainment establishments, restaurants, cafes, gyms, non-grocery stores, and shopping and entertainment centers will be prohibited.

It was also reported that the police will increase the number of raid groups that will verify compliance with quarantine regulations.

Be aware that several regional centers refuse to comply with the weekend quarantine rules.
