Former Chelsea goalkeeper for London and England international Peter Bonetti died at the age of 78.
This was reported by the Chelsea press service.
Bonetti passed away after a long illness.

He was “one of the best players in Chelsea’s history,” the London club said on Twitter.

He spent most of his career at Chelsea, where he played 729 games, which is the second most played game in the club’s history. As part of the former “blue” goalkeeper, he won the FA Cup, the Soccer League Cup and the Cup Winners Cup.
As part of the England team in 1966, Bonetti became world champion. However, in that tournament the goalkeeper was a replacement.
Previously, UNIAN also reported that the coach, who headed “Real”, “Barcelona” and “Atlético”, passed away.
