Putin vaccinates during the day
The Russian president will be vaccinated against the coronavirus before the end of the day, but not with the cameras: “he does not like it.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin will not be publicly vaccinated against the coronavirus because he “doesn’t like it.” This explanation on Tuesday, March 23, was given by his press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, reports TASS.
“As for vaccination under the cameras, then [президенту] I don’t like it, “said Peskov.
Peskov also said that Putin will be vaccinated at the end of the day during working hours.
“Not yet, but we hope he is vaccinated at the end of the day, at night,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
At the same time, Peskov does not know whether the president of the Russian Federation will be vaccinated in a medical institution or in the workplace.
“As the physician deems necessary, that is how it will be done. Still, this is a fairly simple procedure. And, given the presidential work schedule, of course, this will be done in such a way as to minimize the impact on the hours work, “Peskov said.
A Kremlin spokesman said Putin will inoculate “one of the three” Russian vaccines. “We will not say specifically which one. The three Russian vaccines are absolutely reliable, they are very good, reliable and effective,” he explained.
It was previously reported that Putin has a vaccination plan, in which vaccines against influenza and pneumococcus are planned for the near future, and that he cannot be vaccinated at the same time. He said he will likely get vaccinated against the coronavirus in late summer or early fall.
