Law enforcement officers found an unregistered pistol on the people’s deputy Alexander Yurchenko. This was stated by the prosecutor of the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office during a judicial hearing on the choice of a preventive measure for Yurchenko.

Reported by RBK-Ukraine correspondent.

According to the prosecutor, on September 16, detectives from the National Anti-Corruption Office of Ukraine found the weapon at the home of Yurchenko’s parents in the Brovary district of the Kiev region.

They saw a pistol and a mobile phone in the passenger seat of the officer’s car. But the law enforcement officers did not have a warrant to search the car. While prosecutors obtained this permit, two NABU detectives remained on duty near the car.

The next day, Yurchenko and his lawyer tried to scare these detectives out of the car.

The SAP prosecutor pointed out in court that the deputy did not have permission to keep weapons.

We will remember, today VAKS elects a measure of moderation for the people’s deputy Yurchenko. He is suspected of bribery.

The investigation believes that the deputy asked for $ 13,000 to present proposals to the waste recycling bill and another $ 200,000 to bribe the popular deputies.

In connection with the scandal, Yurchenko was expelled from the Servant of the People faction.

President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Yurchenko will definitely go to jail.
