In Ukraine, as of March 1, 2021, the estimated size of pensions will be indexed by 11%. The amount of the increase will be different for everyone: the higher the salary and the longer the service, the more significantly the pay will increase.
This follows from the law on “Compulsory national pension insurance”. For example, if the size of the “net” pension is 5 thousand UAH, then you can count on an increase of 550 UAH. If the estimated pension is only 1,500 UAH (there was a low salary), then there will be no increase: both before and after indexation, the payment of such a pensioner will be 1,769 UAH (the subsistence minimum for the disabled).
To estimate how much increase you can expect, you must multiply the “net” pension by 1.11. The “net” amount is considered without seniority allowances, an increase in payment to the level of the subsistence minimum (if less), an addition of 500 UAH for pensioners over 80 and an increase in payment up to UAH 2400 for those who are 65 years old and have completed the experience.
Remember that Ukrainian retirees who now receive at least 9,090 UAH, after March 1, can claim an increase of about 1,000 UAH. In total, the new calculation will affect 8 million Ukrainians (out of 11.4 million pensioners) and the average increase will be 308 UAH.
As reported by OBOZREVATEL, in Ukraine, from July 1, the subsistence minimum for the disabled will be increased by 85 UAH. As a result, the minimum pension will increase by 85 UAH to 1,854 UAH, and the maximum pension – from 850 UAH to 18,540 UAH.
