Increasing the retirement age of women

Starting April 1, 2021, the retirement age for women will increase to 60 years. This is the last stage of raising the retirement age, in accordance with the law “On compulsory pension insurance”.

Women born after April 1, 1961 will only be able to retire at the age of 60. At the same time, Ukrainian women with a birth date from October 1, 1960 to March 31, 1961 are entitled to a pension at the age of 59 years and 6 months.

According to the law, the retirement age of women began to increase in 2011, from 55 years a year for 6 months. As of April 1, 2021, he was 60 years old, but with the necessary insurance experience.

So, to take a well-earned break when you reach retirement age of 60 in 2021. Work experience must be at least 28 years. in both women and men.

If there is not enough work experience, then the right to assign payments can be obtained only at 63 years (work experience from 18 years) or 65 years (experience from 15 years). It is also possible to gain additional years of insurance experience.

New pension calculation

About 2 million Ukrainians will receive a pension increase in April. The recalculation will be made to working citizens of retirement age, to whom pensions were assigned or recalculated more than two years ago – until April 1, 2019.

Thus, citizens who have more than 24 months of additional experience after retirement can count on a raise. This period does not depend on work interruptions.

The size of the increase in payments is determined individually based on the income from which the pension is calculated. To recalculate, citizens do not need to apply additionally to the Pension Fund.

Gas rates

On April 1, the restriction on the price of gas for domestic consumers, which the Cabinet established since February at the level of 6.99 UAH per cubic meter, VAT included, will no longer be in force.

According to the Gazpravda portal, most gas supply companies will continue to sell gas to consumers in April at a price of 6.99 hryvnyas per cubic meter, excluding distribution costs.

Naftogaz’s tariff this month was unchanged at 6.86 UAH / cubic meter. However, several companies have increased its value.

Therefore, Azovgaz LLC has the highest price – 8.85 UAH / cubic meter. In the Kherson and Chernivtsi regional power supply companies, a tariff of 8.3 UAH / cubic meter is set.

LLC “Kiev Energy Services”, “Dnieper Energy Services”, “Donetsk Energy Services (YASNO)” offer their customers gas at a price of 7.89 hryvnia per cubic meter.

Heating season ends

In the first half of April, the heating season traditionally ends in Ukraine. The specific date to turn off the heat supply depends on the air temperature; within 3 days it should be above +8 degrees Celsius.

However, local authorities in several cities have already announced the planned end date for the heating season:

  • Dnipro – from April 1;
  • Pavlograd – from April 1;
  • Kiev – from April 5;
  • Odessa – from April 5;
  • Mariupol – April 5-10;
  • Lutsk – April 7-8;
  • Kharkov – from April 15;
  • Kropyvnytsky – since April 15.

New medical guarantee program

The updated program of medical guarantees for Ukrainians for 2021 starts operating on April 1. It includes a package of 35 medical services, which are provided free of charge with a final statement with a family doctor.

The program covers the following types of care: primary, specialized and highly specialized care, emergency, palliative care and rehabilitation, medical care for children under 16 years of age, and medical care during pregnancy and delivery.

Outpatient pregnancy management is included in a separate service package. Women will be able to receive this type of assistance free of charge: registration, development of a pregnancy management plan, instrumental tests and examinations, incl. Ultrasound, classes in the future parents’ school, referral to the hospital if necessary, consultations and management of the puerperium.

Some will be free dental services: initial exam, urgent care for children and adults, pain relief.

The 2021 Medical Assurance Program offers free hospital care packages for COVID-19 patients, as well as vaccination against coronavirus.

In addition, Ukrainians will be able to go to various doctors without a referral: a gynecologist, a psychiatrist, a narcologist, a phthisiatrist, a pediatrician and a dentist for urgent care. The patient visit to these specialists will be the responsibility of the NHSU.

At the same time, the provision of emergency assistance remains free to all categories of the population without referrals or declarations.

Cancellation of green cards in the Kiev metro

From now on, the use of green travel cards in the metropolitan metropolitan area has been suspended. As of April 1, 2021, you can pay the cost of the trip. only by electronic ticket in different ways:

  • Kiev smart card;
  • contactless bank card;
  • through a mobile application (Google Pay, Apple Pay, Kyiv Smart Сard);
  • a single ticket with a QR code.

A single ticket and a Kiev smart card can be purchased at the metro ticket offices and at the self-service terminals in the stations. The transport card gives you the opportunity to buy 50 trips at a time with a discount of up to 1.5 UAH for each. You can replenish your Kyiv Smart Card in boxes, terminals, through the Kiev Digital application.

Ukrzaliznytsia raises ticket prices

The fare on Ukrzaliznytsia trains will grow in stages during this year. Of April tickets increase in price by 2%, and by the end of 2021, rates will increase by 22%.

According to the order of the Ministry of Infrastructure, from April 1 to December 31, 2021, an indexing coefficient of 1.02 will be applied to the rate of rail passengers.

Cyprus opens borders

Starting April 1, tourists from Ukraine can enter Cyprus without quarantine, but will have to pass two tests for COVID-19.

Therefore, a prerequisite for reaching the Republic of Cyprus is the presence of a negative result of the PCR study. The test must be done within 72 hours prior to departure.

Also, upon arrival in Cyprus, Ukrainians will have to undergo another coronavirus test on their own and isolate themselves until the result is obtained.
