Republicans could not prove a single fact of fraudulent voting
The Republican group demanded not to take into account all the ballots sent by mail, nor the results of the vote in principle.
The Pennsylvania Supreme Court reversed a lower court decision to suspend the certification of the election results. The lawsuit was filed by Pennsylvania Senator Mike Kelly, along with other representatives of the US Republican Party, the Associated Press reported on Sunday, November 29.
The reason for overriding the lower court decision was the expiration of the time period during which it would be possible to challenge Pennsylvania’s election law.
A group of Republicans has tried to show that the state’s electoral law is unconstitutional. The plaintiffs demanded that neither all mailed ballots nor the results of the vote be taken into account in principle.
“They have not been able to prove any fraudulent mail ballot or ballot counting,” said Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice David Vecht.
Earlier this week, the Pennsylvania government approved the state’s presidential vote, which was won by Democratic candidate Joe Biden. He was ahead of current President Donald Trump by more than 80,000 votes.
Recall that the current head of the White House refuses to admit defeat and insists that massive vote fraud was committed.
At the same time, after a series of statements by supporters of the Republican Party, Trump nevertheless ordered the start of the process of handover of power to a Democrat.
