The National Assembly (Parliament) of Armenia will hold an extraordinary meeting today, which will be dedicated to the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The meeting will start at 18:00 Kiev time.

Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a representative of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun) party, stated this, reports “Armenian News.”

In his words, the extraordinary session was convened at the request of the “Prosperous Armenia” and “Bright Armenia” factions. He also called on protesters in Yerevan to demand that members of the ruling bloc participate in this meeting.

“If at least half of the 88 deputies from My Step participate in the meeting, it will be plenipotentiary,” Saghatelyan said.

Recall, earlier, that the opposition came out with a demand for Pashinyan’s impeachment, and also gave him until midnight to voluntarily resign.

Protests against the surrender in Nagorno-Karabakh continue in Armenia. The actions and clashes began after Pashinyan signed an agreement on an armistice in the region, according to which almost all territories will be gradually transferred to Azerbaijan, and the armistice will be controlled by Russian peacekeepers.
