The Trilateral Contact Group on the Donbass settlement failed to agree on the start of a new stage of de-escalation in Donbass, including the further withdrawal of weapons and army units. This was announced by the OSCE Special Representative to the TCG, Heidi Grau, after the regular meetings of the TCG.

At the same time, the working group participants confirmed a common understanding on the location of additional areas for the withdrawal of forces and weapons, as well as an updated demining plan.
The TCG, seeking to intensify work on the resolution of the conflict, instructed the working group to urgently prepare a draft action plan based on the written proposals of the negotiators in full compliance with the Minsk agreements.
Grau urged the parties to make all possible efforts for the prompt release and exchange of those detained in connection with the conflict, according to the principle of “everyone for everyone”, as provided for in the Minsk agreements.
As reported, participants in the TCG negotiations on conflict resolution in Donbass on Wednesday, October 28, confirmed their intention to open two new exit-exit checkpoints on the contact line on November 10.
