In addition, Ukraine will continue to work to increase international pressure on the Russian Federation to fulfill its obligations.
“Sanctions against Russia help Ukraine in the process of a peaceful solution, therefore they should be maintained until the status quo is fully restored, in which Ukrainian diplomacy works non-stop year after year and will continue to function successfully in the future, “stressed the deputy head of the President’s Office.
Zhovkva also noted that in 2020 the issue of Crimea returned to the international agenda.
“This means that in 2021 we must focus on substantive work. The results of the summit of the leaders of partner states in support of the international format of the Crimean platform will be important,” Zhovkva noted, noting that they are preparing to hold it in Ukraine in the summer of 2021.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that the negotiations in the Normandy format are still “alive” but are “in a drug-induced dream.”
Earlier, Kuleba said that the Russian Foreign Ministry refuses to contact the Ukrainian side. In response, Lavrov said he was ready for contacts with Kuleba in Donbas, but pointed out that Kiev should negotiate with CADLO.
