Of all world leaders, Ukrainians trust the German Chancellor Angela Merkel the most. This is evidenced by the results of a poll presented during a discussion in Kiev on Wednesday, December 16.
Almost 60% of Ukrainians trust Merkel more or less completely (24.13% do not). The first three also included the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda (48.37% of Ukrainians trust him, 22.05% don’t trust him) and French President Emmanuel Macron (42.43% trust him, the 33.46% do not trust him).
At the same time, 37.8% of the surveyed Ukrainians declared their trust in Alexander Lukashenko and 48.28% did not trust him. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson had the confidence of 36.75% of the survey participants, mistrust, 24.43%.
Furthermore, 30.77% of Ukrainians trust the president-elect of the USA, Joe Biden, and 24.19% do not; the current president of the United States, Donald Trump: 28.89% trust and 50.37% do not trust; 26.78% of Ukrainians trust Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, 26.68% do not trust; for the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, 18.81% and 22.22%, respectively.
Finally, among the respondents, the greatest distrust is caused by Russian President Vladimir Putin: 72.45% of Ukrainians do not trust him and only 14.15% trust him.
Recall that one in three Ukrainians does not know the heads of the OP, the Cabinet of Ministers and the Rada. Sociologists have found that Ukrainians know politicians from earlier cadences better than those in power now.
