Ukraine’s borders may open after June 15
Borders closed due to quarantine in Ukraine can be opened after June 15. The decision of the Ukrainian authorities is supposed to be synchronized with the European countries.
This was stated in an interview with Today by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anton Germashchenko.
In his opinion, the opening of Ukraine’s borders will be synchronized with European countries.
“Our border to leave Europe is open. They will not let you in. You can come, our border guards will say ‘go’, but you will kiss the barrier in Poland or elsewhere,” said Gerashchenko.
He also noted that today the European Union decided not to weaken quarantine measures for foreigners until June 15.
“The same is true of the Ukrainian beloved, Turkey,” added the deputy minister.
Recall, it was previously reported that Ukraine decided to open a pedestrian checkpoint on the border with Poland. As of today, there is no date for the resumption of operation of the Shegini pedestrian checkpoint, it will open after the publication of a government decision.
In an interview with RBC-Ukraine, the state’s chief medical doctor, Viktor Lyashko, said that when deciding on the opening of border crossings at the border, they will be guided by the decision of other countries.
