The draw for the knockout stages of the Europa League took place on Friday February 26 in Nyon, Switzerland. In this stage, two representatives of Ukraine participate: Dynamo and Shakhtar, who defeated Bruges and Maccabi, respectively. Likewise, the fight for the trophy is being continued by three English giants, two Spanish and Italian teams, as well as representatives from Greece, the Netherlands, Norway, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Switzerland and Scotland.
This time there were no restrictions during the draw, there were no seeded or non-seeded teams, there were no restrictions on meetings between teams from a country. As a result, Villarreal caught Dynamo, while Shakhtar will play Roma, led by former miners coach Paulo Fonseca.
