Samsung released a security update in April for its flagship Galaxy S9 and S9 + line. In addition, other improvements have been added to the updated firmware version.
According to the changelog, this update improves the security of Samsung accounts, which were probably separate from the mandatory two-factor authorization of the cloud service. The update also improves the compatibility of the S9 and S9 + with the Camera Controller app for the Galaxy Watch smartwatch. Allows you to control your smartphone camera with compatible hours.
The new firmware also improves the stability of messaging, contacts, gallery, and camera. Overall, after Android 10 with One UI 2.0, this is the first update for Galaxy S9 and S9 +, which has brought more than just a security solution. We hope that Samsung will launch One UI 2.1 for these devices in the near future.
You can download and install aerial updates in Settings. To do this, open Software update → Download and installation. Remember that Samsung is rolling out updates gradually, so if the new firmware is not yet available for your smartphone, please try checking it out later.
