The State Property Fund urgently dismissed the acting Chairman of the Board of the State Company “United Mining and Chemical Company” Peter Davis.
As stated in the SPFU press service, the motive was accusations of money laundering and schemes related to the former management of the company.
The fund received an appeal from the people’s deputies, the SBU, and members of the OGHK board about possible damage to the state’s patrimonial interests.
In September, Davis independently decided to resume the sale of the Volnogorsk Mining and Metallurgical Combined products (part of OGHK’s structure) to companies controlled by the old management, suspended in early 2020.
At the same time, it ordered to stop shipping products to companies that are experienced and bona fide market participants cooperating with OGHK on a prepaid basis at higher prices, until the unloading of already loaded containers.
The SPFU explained that these companies provided a monthly purchase of WGCC products worth several million dollars. In particular, Davis paid no heed to the objections of other board members to such action.
Also at the Volnogorsk MMC, despite the approved staff, the management included people from the previous management.
“At the same time, VGMK’s deputy sales manager for finished products, appointed by the new OGHK board, was actually removed from the sales process and pressure was put on the head of the sales department due to an attempt to prevent the discharge. of containers that were intended for companies that are bona fide market participants. ” – explained in the SPFU.
Over the past two weeks, Davis personally agreed to more than ten contracts and additions to agreements with companies controlled by former OGHK management. Additionally, over the past ten days, you have signed multiple shipping orders for similar businesses.
Davis effectively blocked the activities of the OGHK board, stealing the company’s seal, resorting to one-off actions that led to the leaching of financial resources from the OGHK.
