The reason was the decision of the doctor of the canton of Lucerne, who banned the sporting event due to the numerous cases of coronavirus in the Ukrainian team.

According to the Swiss media, Ukraine is ready to call other players and play the game tomorrow. According to the UAF, both the Swiss team and UEFA are ready to play today’s game, but the decision of the local authorities made this option impossible.
The decision on the future of the match will be made by UEFA, but today it will definitely not be played. The game will likely be postponed until December or already until 2021.
The Switzerland – Ukraine match must decide who will be relegated from Division A of the Nations League. For Ukraine it is enough to play in a draw to stay in the elite, and the opponent only needs a victory.
