On March 20, according to indicator indicators to identify regions with a significant spread of COVID-19, the Odessa region fell into the red quarantine zone.

In the region, in three days, the infection case detection rate was exceeded, which should not be higher than 20%. On March 17 it was 20.6%, on March 18 – 20.3%, on March 19 – 21%.

In addition, the region exceeded the permissible level of hospitalizations per 100 thousand inhabitants, which should not be more than 60. On March 17 it was 64.5, on March 18 – 66.3, on March 19 – 67.9 .

According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the restrictions in the red zone should take effect within 48 hours after entering the region according to the indicators of the indicators.

On March 19, Kiev entered the red quarantine zone; This has not yet been officially announced, but since March 20 additional restrictions have already been introduced in the capital.

The Zhytomyr, Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions are officially in the red zone.

In the territory where the red quarantine zone operates, it is prohibited:

  • work of restaurants and cafes (except for delivery and take out);
  • work of entertainment establishments;
  • reception of visitors by commercial entities that carry out activities in the field of commerce and consumer services for the population, except supermarkets and grocery stores;
  • non-food market activities;
  • visit educational institutions, regardless of the form of ownership, except preschool educational institutions, special education institutions and grades 1-4 of general secondary education institutions;
  • implementation of regular and irregular passenger transport.

Currently, the following transport links are allowed in the red zones:

  • passenger transport in cars in an amount of not more than five people, even driver (excluding children);
  • transportation of passengers in official or rented vehicles within the limits of the number of seats, provided that the National Police forces are informed about the circulation route;
  • passenger transport on special rail flights in national traffic, coordinated with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Infrastructure;
  • passenger transport on special rail flights in suburban traffic in accordance with the Regional State Administration.
