The Crimean occupation administration terminated the contract with the Roshydromet Central Aerological Observatory, according to which the aircraft from the meteorological laboratory was supposed to cause precipitation on the peninsula.
Of the 25 million rubles planned, 11.4 million (about 4.3 million UAH) was spent on flights, Interfax reports, citing data from public procurement websites.
The contract, signed in September, was valid until December 15, 2020, and the total flight time of the aircraft had to be at least 25 flight hours. It was finished at the beginning of the first decade of December.
