The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine still does not know what to do with the Kiev District Administrative Court. Minister Denis Malyuska believes that the liquidation of the UASC will change almost nothing.
He told about it in an interview with Radio Liberty.
According to the minister, the liquidation of the UASC can have negative consequences if not thought about. You can also transfer the jurisdiction of a part of the disputes that are considered by the UASC to another court or combine it with another court.
“Such scenarios will do less harm than a simple and elementary liquidation of the OASK. Because if we liquidate the OASK, it means that the whole range of disputes, and they are considering many disputes, must be considered by someone else. The question is: who and for what resources ”, – he explained.
At the same time, Malyuska stressed that no one doubts the professionalism of the OASK judges, but the doubts concern their integrity, so it is necessary to ensure that it stops generating questionable judicial decisions.
“The judges are professionals and know the legislation very, very well. They doubt integrity and ethical standards. This is key,” added the minister.
We will recall, recently, that a petition with a request for the liquidation of the OASK obtained the required number of votes, after which President Volodymyr Zelensky ordered to discuss with the High Council of Justice the possibility of liquidating the OASK.
