Head of the Kiev District Administrative Court Pavel Vovk
The functions of the president of the District Administrative Court of the city of Kiev are still performed by the deputy Vovka – Vladimir Keleberda.
The head of the Kiev District Administrative Court, declared by the National Anti-Corruption Office on the wanted list, Pavel Vovk, has been on sick leave since November 2 due to a coronavirus disease. This was announced on Tuesday, November 3, by the OASK press service.
“He is on sick leave due to self-isolation due to Covid-19 disease. NABU’s information on systematic ignorance of the calls is obviously false,” the court said.
The OASK added that in relation to Vovk’s disease, the NABU information about the systematic ignorance of the calls “does not correspond to reality.”
Furthermore, Vovk himself posted a photo on his Facebook and said he was ill.
“I am on sick leave. I am carefully looking for exceptions to article 19 of the Constitution of Ukraine to justify what is happening,” he wrote.
We will recall, the NABU announced the wanted head of the Kiev District Administrative Court Pavel Vovk. He is sought “for the systematic ignorance of the summons of the investigating body and the investigating judge, as well as for the lack of appearance to participate in the interrogation and other procedural actions.”
Previously, the head of the administrative court, Vovk, remained in office. The Higher Council of Justice motivated its decision by the fact that the prosecution did not provide evidence of Vovk’s involvement in criminal offenses.
Later, VSP explained the refusal to remove Vovk. The Superior Council of Justice said the controversial judge was not duly notified of the suspicion.
