Putin said “this is not the case”
Russian President Vladimir Putin ruled out US involvement in the Norman format. This was stated by his press secretary Dmitry Peskov, report the media.
Peskov said the United States’ involvement in the negotiations is not even disputed.
“This is not the case,” he said.
Recall, in the Minsk talks, Ukraine announced the need to implement the “Norman Four” agreements for the next meeting in Berlin in the near future.
At the same time, Ukraine has denied the possibility of securing Donbass’ special status at the legislative level, which Russian President Vladimir Putin insists on.
Prior to this, Vladimir Zelensky said that the summit of the leaders of the “Norman Four” will take place after various conditions are met.
Previously, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky recorded a video message in which Putin proposed a new format for negotiations on the situation in the Donbass with the participation of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, the British Prime Minister, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron.
