Nord Stream 2: Germany Finds Way To Bypass US Sanctions

[ad_1]

Germany can create a special fund to help companies circumvent US sanctions against the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. Thanks to this, the German companies involved in the project will not interact directly with the Russian side.

Bild writes about this.

Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Prime Minister Manuela Schwezig is reported to be planning to create a special climate protection fund. This fund also classifies Nord Stream 2 as one of the most important elements of environmental protection in the region.

This organization is expected to contribute to the successful completion of the project. In particular, the fund will create a company whose products and services will serve to complete the construction of the gas pipeline. With their help, the companies will not interact directly with the Russian side and therefore will not be subject to US sanctions.

We will recall, it was previously reported that the United States may impose new sanctions against Nord Stream 2. According to The Wall Street Journal, Ukrainian lobbies are pushing for this.

It also emerged that the construction of Nord Stream 2 will continue in December.
