New Ukrainian low-cost airline has the right to fly: when will transport start?

The State Aviation Service issued an operator certificate to Ukraine’s new low-cost airline Bees Airline on March 12, granting the right to fly. The plane will begin carrying passengers from March 18.

This is reported by avianews.com. Lowcost will start transport from the Kiev-Sharm el-Sheikh charter line and, from March 19, on the Kiev-Marsa-Alam line.

Currently, there is a low-cost plane in Ukraine. This is a Boeing 737-800 that previously flew in UIA. The second aircraft, also a 2010 Boeing 737-800 with registration UR-UBA, is now in Europe and will arrive in the country after receiving a new livery (aircraft color).

The planes have the maximum possible number of seats: 189. In the same configuration, planes of this type are used by Ryanair, the largest low-cost airline in Europe. In May 2021, Bees Airline plans to receive two more aircraft and expand its fleet to four aircraft.

The Ukrainian low-cost airline’s strategy foresees working on charter flights ordered by tour operators and making regular flights. The base airport of the airline will be Kiev (Zhulyany).

As a reminder, the new airline Lumiwings announced the launch of two routes to Ukraine from Italy in the 2021 summer season. Flights from Forlì and Perugia to Odessa will open in June
