In addition, the Swiss Federal Office of Health reported the fixation of two cases of the new COVID-19 strain.
According to the agency, the “British” variation of the coronavirus was found in biomaterial samples taken from two people who live permanently in the United Kingdom, but temporarily remain in Swiss territory.
It is noted that one of the mentioned British nationals confirmed that he is in self-isolation and authorities are trying to contact the second.
It was previously reported that Singapore authorities also confirmed the country’s first case of infection with a new type of coronavirus. The new strain was discovered in a Singaporean student who recently returned from London.
