In Ukraine as of April 1, 2021 will introduce annual gas rates for all suppliers. Ukrainians will buy blue fuel for 12 months at a fixed price, however, if they wish, they can change the rate to a monthly one.

Acting previously Energy Minister Yuriy Vitrenko announced other innovations:

instead of two payments (monthly payments and for the gas itself) there will be one;

the amount of monthly installments will be leveled in different regions;

“In addition, a mechanism has been developed that lays the foundations to reduce the total amount, when we add a distribution fee to the price of gas … In addition, the government is already working for the State to fulfill its function of providing a service to citizens: change of gas supplier through the Diya mobile application. It is a bot, that is, a mechanism that will automatically compare its price with the prices of other providers and, if it is higher, will recommend changing the provider, “says Vitrenko.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, in Ukraine the gas distribution tariff (the so-called monthly tariff) can be revised downward if the price of blue fuel falls in the summer.
