In Ukraine, starting from February 1, there will be a fixed price for gas in the amount of 6.99 UAH per cubic meter. At the same time, Ukrainians who discovered the market and changed suppliers, and in January, paid for blue fuel at the same rate.
This is stated in the OBOZREVATEL material. The cost of a cubic meter as of February 1 for everyone (at least that’s what they promise) will be 6.99 UAH… The most interesting thing is that this price already exists in the market. Since August last year, Ukrainians have been able to choose their own gas supplier. There are several dozen of them on the market.
Important:
-
it was possible to pay 6.99 UAH even before the reduction, if you change providers;
-
the lowest rate on the market will be mandatory for everyone;
-
the single price will be temporary.
Most of the families did not change their supplier and stayed with the one that had previously supplied them with blue fuel. And its price reached 9.9 UAH per cubic meter. Naftogaz (only 4% of Ukrainians buy gas from you) offered a rate of 7.22 UAH… But even before the “reduction” of prices, Ukrainians could pay for gasoline 6.99 – if you requested a change of provider.
The final decision, as Prime Minister Denis Shmygal explained, has yet to be made. It is being discussed with the IMF. “Now the IMF mission is working in Ukraine. It is considering how these decisions affect the ability of Ukraine’s budget to meet its obligations to citizens and partners. This decision does not really affect the capacity of the budget. We continue our conversation with the IMF. . They are concerned, concerned that state rate regulation will not return.“, – says Shmygal.
