New fines may be introduced for violation of self-isolation in Ukraine / GORDON

If the Verkhovna Rada adopts the bill approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, in Ukraine, for violation of the rules of self-isolation, they will be able to fine up to 8,500 UAH.

On December 23, Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers approved a bill proposing to introduce new fines for violating the regime of self-isolation and observation during quarantine, reports the GORDON correspondent.

The bill provides changes to art. 443 From the Code of Ukraine on administrative offenses.

The document proposes to introduce a new provision, according to which the violation of the special order of the self-isolation or observation regime established in the quarantine decision is punishable by a fine of 200 (3,400 UAH) to 500 (8,500 UAH) of minimum income not taxable of citizens.

Now the document must be adopted by the Verkhovna Rada.

At the beginning of last month, new fines were already introduced in Ukraine for violating the quarantine, in particular for not wearing masks. In public places.

As of December 23, 989 642 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Ukraine, of which 10 136 – in the last day. Since the start of the epidemic, 17,172 patients with COVID-19 have died in the country, 615,660 people have recovered.
