In the Lviv region arrested a man who threatened to blow up a restaurant
An attacker entered a catering establishment in the town of Vinniki and stated that he had a grenade.
Police authorities detained a 27-year-old Lviv citizen who threatened to blow up a restaurant in Vinniki with a grenade. This was announced on May 12 by the Lviv region police press service on Facebook.
It is observed that around 19.30 an unknown man entered one of the catering establishments in the city of Vinniki, who declared that he had brought a grenade with him and was going to fly it.
The restaurant was being renovated, so everyone was out of the room.
Police officers from the Lviv region arrived at the scene, including bomb experts, commandos, dog trainers, an investigative task force, as well as patrolmen and rescuers. Negotiations were held with a man.
As indicated by the police, around 22:40 during the special operation, the attacker was detained, there were no weapons or ammunition with him.
No one was injured as a result of the incident. The court will soon choose a moderation measure for the detainee, police added.
On the fact of the incident, criminal proceedings have been opened in accordance with article 259, paragraph 1 (knowingly false message about a threat to the safety of citizens, destruction or damage to property) of the Penal Code.
The sanction of the article provides imprisonment for a period of two to six years.
