PrivatBank earned 22.848 million UAH

The National Bank of Ukraine has submitted a rating of the profitability of the country’s financial institutions. The rating was led by PrivatBank.

Ukrainian banks from January to October 2020 made a profit of 42.991 million hryvnia before tax. The country’s most profitable bank is the state-owned PrivatBank, which earned UAH 22.848 million during the specified period, writes RBC-Ukraine, citing data from the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

Second in the profitability ranking of Ukrainian banks is the state-owned Oschadbank with 4.799 billion hryvnia.

The three leaders are closed by the bank with foreign capital Raiffeisen Bank Aval – 4.197 billion hryvnia.

In addition, according to NBU estimates, there is a private FUIB – 2.805 billion hryvnia and a bank with foreign capital OTP BANK – 2.147 billion hryvnia.

It is noted that 12 banks from November to October showed losses of 4.152 billion hryvnia.

The state-owned Ukreximbank posted a record loss – 3.173 billion UAH.

Remember that PrivatBank has written off nearly 40 billion bad debts. The proportion of bad assets in the banking sector continues to decline for the second month in a row. As of November 1, its stake fell to 43.4%.

Bankers were also reported to have given a six-month forecast for the financial sector. In most cases, survey participants are pessimistic about the outlook for the financial sector for the next six months.
