A Moscow court considered a request by the Federal Penitentiary Service to replace the suspended sentence of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny with a real one. The politician will serve his sentence in prison.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the broadcast of “Present Time”.

During the meeting, a representative of the Federal Penitentiary Service said Navalny violated public order about 60 times after a suspended sentence. He asked to cancel the conditional term of the policy and carry out the real punishment in the form of 3.5 years in prison in a general regime colony.

At the beginning of the trial, the arrests began just below the courthouse.

Note that mass protests started in Russia over the arrest of Alexei Navalny.

Ukraine demanded the imposition of sanctions against Russia due to the repression of the protests.

It was previously reported that Navalny could face more than 10 years in prison.

We will remember, in the center of Moscow, a man who set himself on fire during the protests in support of the politician Alexei Navalny. He was saved and the suicide attempt itself was not related to the protests.
