Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny may have been poisoned with Novichok poison before leaving his hotel room in Tomsk, Russia, to travel to the airport.
This is stated on Navalny’s official Instagram page, where a video with evidence was published immediately after the hospitalization.
The tape shows that Navalny’s associates and attorney described and packed all the things in the room. Among the things was a plastic water bottle, in which the German laboratory later found traces of the poisonous substance.
“Two weeks later, it was in the Tomsk edition bottle that the German laboratory discovered traces of Novichok. And then three more laboratories that took tests from Alexei confirmed that Navalny was poisoned by him. Now we understand that this was done before he left. your room to go to the airport, “says the message.
Where did the unfortunate bottle come from? Let’s explain where the thing that we are constantly asked questions about comes from. The so-called “bottle with” Novichok “”, or rather, an ordinary plastic bottle found under water, in which traces of a chemical warfare agent were later found in a German laboratory. This is a bottle from a room in a hotel in Tomsk where Navalny himself and our entire film crew stayed. Fast forward to August 20. That day, part of our team flew to Moscow and some stayed in Tomsk to finish the video. During the flight, Alexei lost consciousness and began to drown, the plane urgently sat down. Almost immediately, FBK employees who remained in Tomsk learned of the incident. At that time, the only thing possible was done. They called a lawyer, went upstairs to the room Navalny had just emerged from, and began recording, describing, and packing everything they found there. Including bottles of hotel water. You can see how this happened in this video. There was no particular hope of finding something like that. But since we were absolutely clear that Navalny was not “slightly ill”, he was not “overheated” and Rafaelka could not help here, it was decided to take whatever could be hypothetically useful in some way and hand it over to the doctors in Germany. The fact that the case would not be investigated in Russia was also quite obvious. And so it happened: almost a month passed, Russia did not recognize Alexey’s poisoning. Two weeks later, it was on the bottle of the Tomsk edition that the German laboratory found traces of “Novichok”. And then three more labs that took tests from Alexei confirmed that Navalny was poisoned by him. Now we understand: this was done before he left his room to go to the airport. Today at 8:00 pm in the program “Russia of the future” of the YouTube channel Navalny LIVE Georgy Alburov @alburov will tell the details.
