NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg expressed hope that Ukraine and Hungary can resolve differences between the countries themselves.
NATO will not mediate a dispute between Hungary, a member of the Alliance, and Ukraine, a NATO graduate. This was announced on December 2 at a briefing after a meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Alliance countries led by the organization’s secretary general, Jens Stoltenberg, reports Evropeyskaya Pravda.
“It is well known that there is a bilateral dispute between Hungary and Ukraine, and I hope that both countries can resolve this bilateral dispute,” he also said.
Stoltenberg believes that NATO will continue to strengthen its partnership with Ukraine, despite the dispute.
